WARRANT ARRESTS

A 52 year old Oshawa man turned himself into Police yesterday morning after a warrant was issued for his arrest from an assault that occurred over the holidays.  He was arrested without incident at the Colin McGregor Building and later released with a future court date.

A 20 year old St. Thomas man turned himself into Police yesterday morning after a Bench Warrant had been issued for his arrest for missing court.  His charges stem from incidents from 2021.  He was arrested at the Colin McGregor Building without incident and was lodged in cells for court.

A 52 year old woman turned herself into Police yesterday afternoon after a Bench Warrant had been issued for her arrest for missing court.  Her charges stem from a Break and Enter and Assault that occurred in November.  She was arrested without incident at the Colin McGregor Building and was later released with a new court date.

RECOVERED PROPERTY

Last night the Elgin OPP notified the St. Thomas Police that they had recovered our stolen covered trailer that was reported to us on January 9th.  The white Haulmark trailer was located in the area of Tracey Street and Coulter Ave.  There was no damage to the trailer but the tires and rims that were inside are still outstanding.  The owner was notified and he picked up his trailer.  ST23000490.

Concerned neighbours on Confederation Drive contacted Police yesterday about a vehicle parked in the Parkette for an extended period of time.  Officers on Community Patrol attended and it was determined that the vehicle was stolen in Sarnia on December 15th.  The vehicle was towed to the Colin McGregor Building for Forensic analysis.

ARRESTS

Yesterday officers on Community Patrol were alerted to a First Avenue address where residents report a suspicious male on the front porch.  35 year old Dillon Churchill was located and was arrested without incident for Theft under $5,000 after he was identified as the shoplifter at Canadian Tire on January 9th.  He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing where he was later released with a future court date.  ST23000480

Officers on Community Patrol located 38 year old Joseph Penfound in the area of White Street and Talbot Street last night at approximately 10:30pm.  In October he was released with numerous conditions, one being not to attend St. Thomas.  He was arrested without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing and was held overnight for court today.
