The St. Thomas Police Service Announces a Selection Process for EXPERIENCED POLICE CONSTABLE
Anticipated Vacancies / Hiring Pool
The St. Thomas Police Service is accepting applications from candidates who are currently serving as police officers. The candidate must have completed a period of probation pursuant to Section 44(1) of the Police Services Act.
Hours of work will be pursuant to and consistent with the Uniform Collective Agreement. The starting salary as listed in the Uniform Collective Agreement, commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidates.
Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Detailed covering letter and resume
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License
- Performance evaluations for last 2 years
- Commendation letters
- Volunteer work
- Reference letters and list of work related references
