Vehicle Entry Investigations Lead to Arrests
A 37 year old man has been charged in connection with another vehicle entry being investigated by STPS. During a search following his arrest on Monday, officers located several cards belonging to a person whose vehicle had been entered over the weekend. Charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, the accused remained in custody for court. ST26018425
A 40 year old man has been charged following an investigation into a vehicle entry on Schreyer Drive in August. A wallet was reported stolen and bank cards were subsequently used at local businesses. After reviewing video, police identified the accused. Arrested on an unrelated matter on Tuesday, he was also charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Use of Credit Card Data. He was held for court. ST26016202
A 32 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested in connection with a vehicle entry investigation previously reported by STPS. Officers located the accused on Talbot Street on Tuesday afternoon. Wanted for two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, two counts of Theft Under $5,000, two counts of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card and one count of Failure to Comply with Probation, she was transported to police headquarters and held for court. Vehicle Entry
A portable battery booster and a DeWalt tool bag containing tools and batteries have been reported stolen from an unlocked pickup truck parked in a driveway on Manor Road. The items were last seen inside the vehicle on Sunday. ST26018398
Theft and Fraud Investigation
Four bank cards have been reported stolen from a wallet. On Tuesday, police were contacted after unauthorized transactions were discovered on one of the cards. All cards have been cancelled. The location of the theft remains unconfirmed, and the incident is under investigation. ST26018476
Bail Violations
The investigation into the report that an individual entered an area of Talbot Street they are prohibited from attending under their release conditions on Tuesday, has resulted in an arrest. The 52 year old St. Thomas woman was arrested after police received additional information that she was breaching her curfew. Charged with Failure to Comply with a Release Order, she was transported to police headquarters and lodged in cells. ST26018526/8407
Warrant Arrest
A 37 year old man wanted by St. Thomas police has been arrested by Toronto Police Service. On Tuesday, STPS were notified that the accused was in custody. The warrant stems from an investigation into a gift card scam at a local business in February, resulting in a loss of approximately $1,000. The accused was released on an undertaking. Threats and Bail Violations
A youth has been arrested following an investigation into threats and reported breaches of release conditions. On Tuesday, police received information that the youth had contacted individuals and attended an address contrary to those conditions. The youth was located by officers on Tuesday evening, transported to police headquarters and held for court. ST26018482
Impaired Driving
One person has been charged following a traffic stop late Tuesday evening. At 11:30 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling slowly and swerving on Centre Street. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver performed poorly on a roadside sobriety test. The driver was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where further testing was completed by a Drug Recognition Expert.
As a result the driver, a 28 year old London man was charged with Operation While Impaired by Drug, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, Operating an Unsafe Vehicle, Driving Without a Currently Validated Permit and Having Care or Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available. Once processed, he was released with a future court date. ST26018523
