Vehicle Entries
Police are investigating two reports of vehicles being entered.
On Wednesday, police received a report that a vehicle parked on Verna Street had been entered sometime overnight. No damage was reported. A dog bark collar, safety glasses, a small amount of change and several rings were reported stolen. ST26017406
On Tuesday, a vehicle parked on Barrett Crescent was enter. The owner reported finding items inside the vehicle out of place and discovered that a pair of binoculars, valued at approximately $400, had been stolen. ST26017442
Theft Investigations
Police are investigating the theft of two bicycles from the backyard of a residence. The bicycles, one pink and one black, were reportedly stolen during the overnight hours of August 27, 2026. Their combined value is estimated at $200. ST26017455
On Wednesday night police responded to a reported theft in progress at a retail store on Edward Street. It was reported that an unknown male and female reportedly entered the store, distracted an employee, and stole approximately $200 worth of merchandise. The pair left the area on foot before police arrived and were not located. Surveillance footage has been provided to police. ST26017459
Police are investigating the theft of a bicycle from a Talbot Street address on Wednesday night. Surveillance footage provided to police showed an unknown male leaving the area with the black adult-sized bicycle. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, wearing blue jeans and a white hooded sweatshirt. ST26017460
Warrant Arrests
A 43 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Wednesday, officers on community patrol locate the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on several outstanding charges, including Trespass at Night, Theft Under $5,000 and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card. The charges stem from investigations that include a vehicle entry in August. He was transported to police headquarters, processed to attend court and was remanded into custody. ST26017421
A 42 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Wednesday evening, police responded to a report of an unwanted person who had repeatedly refused requests from staff and security to leave the area. Officers identified the individual as the 42 year old St. Thomas man, wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5,000. The charge relates to a shoplifting incident from June. He transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a court appearance. ST26017458
Mischief
A 41 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Wednesday morning, police responded to a report of mischief at the Jumbo the Elephant monument. Officers located a person matching the description provided nearby and arrested a 41 year old St. Thomas woman. During the investigation, police determined the woman was also in breach of a probation order. She was charged with Mischief and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order, processed to attend court and was released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26017414
Failure to Comply
On Wednesday, police were notified that a 30 year old St. Thomas man being monitored under a court-ordered house arrest condition had left his residence without his approved surety. As a result, he was arrested and charged with Failure to Comply with a Release Order. Once processed, the individual attended court and was remanded into custody. ST26017423
