Impaired by Drug
St. Thomas Police were called to an area just south of downtown, for an erratic driver. Police were able to locate the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop. A standardized field sobriety test was administered, and the 48-year-old Aylmer resident performed poorly. As a result, the driver was arrested for Operation while Impaired by alcohol or drug, transported to Police Headquarters for additional testing with a drug recognition expert. Theft Over
St. Thomas Police were called to investigate a theft that had just occurred, just north of the downtown area. The complainant reported their bike worth $6000, was just stolen. The incident was not only captured on camera, but the complainant was able to provide an updated location of the bike and the suspect to police. As a result, a 24-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested for Theft over $5000. The accused was before the courts for other matters on January 21, 2025, October 22, 2025, and May 26, 2026, and released by the courts with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior. The accused was additionally charged with 3 counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. The accused was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and released with a future court date. ST26013764
Assault
Emergency Medical Services called police for assistance at a downtown location. Paramedics were responding to an individual bleeding heavily from the face, laying on the sidewalk. A verbal altercation, escalated into a physical fight between two individuals. A 45-year-old St. Thomas resident was transported by ambulance to London Health Sciences Center. Due to the level of injury, a 25-year-old staff member, also from St. Thomas, was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm. Bail Violations
A GPS monitoring company contacted St. Thomas Police Service to report an individual bound by location monitoring, could not be located, due to a dead battery. On the 7th of July, 2026 a 37-year-old St. Thomas resident was released by the Ontario Court of Justice with conditions to wear a GPS monitoring device, and another condition to keep it charged. Attempts to locate the individual were made, with negative results. Subsequently the individual is wanted, as the whereabouts is unknown. ST26013773

Saturday- Indecent Act
St. Thomas Police were called to an east end retail complex for an indecent act. The complainant reports while loading their vehicle in the parking lot, a male in the vehicle adjacent, exposed himself to the complainant. The incident is still under investigation, while video is being reviewed. ST26013621
Sunday- Theft from Vehicle
St. Thomas Police attended an east end establishment for a theft. Staff reported while at work, they left their vehicle in the parking lot unlocked. Upon finishing work, the complainant noticed the vehicle door ajar, and their wallet missing. There were no cameras in the area to assist in the investigation. ST26013716
