Just after midnight, police responded to several 911 calls reporting a collision and disturbance on Talbot Street. A vehicle had struck a parked car, and officers determined the 52‑year‑old driver was impaired by alcohol. While attending an unrelated call on Sunday morning, officers spoke with a 34‑year‑old female seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with an open bottle of Crown Royal whiskey. She failed a roadside breath test and later provided breath samples of 117 and 111 mgs/ 100ml of blood at the station. Police were called to a local establishment early Saturday morning for a report of a physical altercation between intoxicated patrons. When officers arrived, bystanders were restraining a 30‑year‑old male, and the victim had minor injuries. The suspect was transported to EGH due to his level of intoxication. Around 3 a.m. Sunday, police located a 57‑year‑old male wanted on reasonable grounds for multiple counts of Possession of Property Under $5,000 and Drive While Suspended. He was arrested, and during a search in cells, officers found a small baggie of purple pills suspected to be morphine in his jeans pocket. Police responded to a report of an unwanted person and located a 39‑year‑old female known to police.
