Assault with a Weapon

A 33 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following a disturbance downtown Thursday evening. Police attended an address on Talbot Street to investigate the report of an ongoing argument between a group of individuals who were known to each other. Through investigation, officers learned the accused was in possession of a knife and had threatened to harm others in the area. Charged with one count of Uttering Threats and one count of Assault with a Weapon, he was transported to police headquarters and held for court. ST26010369

Break and Enter Investigations

$13,000 in tools have been reported stolen from three commercials vehicles. On Thursday officers attended a business in the industrial area of the city to investigate the incident that occurred overnight. CCTV in the area captured two individuals wearing masks, arrive at the property and gain entry to the vehicles. This remains under investigation. ST26010336

A $700 lawn mower was reported stolen from a separate address in the industrial area. It was reported that a shed on the property had been entered and the lawn mower stolen. This remains under investigation. ST26010353

Theft Investigations

Three large plush toys, valued at $100 have been reported stolen from a vendor at the St. Anne’s Fair. On Thursday evening, police attended the fair to investigate the incident. ST26010411

$300 of personal property has been reported stolen from an address downtown. On Thursday night, police were called to the 500 block of Talbot to investigate the report of the property being stolen out of a backpack that was briefly left unattended. CCTV has been provided to police. ST26010402

$70 worth of office supplies have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Thursday, police received an online report of the theft and pictures of the suspect. This remains under investigation. ST26010330

RIDEĀ 

STPS are pleased to report that of the vehicles stopped and drivers spoken to during a RIDE event in the city last night, no infractions were found. ST26010414

Failure to Comply

A 35 year old St. Thomas man has been charged after police were notified he had failed to attend his court ordered probation. A warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST26010354

A 54 year old London man has been arrested following a traffic stop in the city Thursday night. Officers on community patrol located and stopped the vehicle being driven by the accused after receiving calls of concern that the vehicle was travelling with flat tires. While speaking with the individual, officers were made aware that the 54 year old is currently on conditions to not operate a vehicle. Charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order, he was transported to police headquarters and processed to attend court. ST26010408
