It has been a busy 24 hours for the St. Thomas Police Service, with over 100 calls for service since Tuesday morning.

Ongoing Neighbour Dispute Leads to Charges

A 56 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following an ongoing neighbour dispute. On Tuesday, the man attended police headquarters to report two alleged assaults. During the interaction, officers became aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest in relation to the same dispute.

The accused had previously been charged with Criminal Harassment on April 5, 2026. He was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date.

Warrant Arrests

Two St. Thomas residents have been arrested. On Tuesday, both individuals attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on outstanding warrants issued after they had failed to attend a court in relation to an incident in January, where they had both  been charged with one count of Break and Enter. A 39 year old St. Thomas man and 28 year old St. Thomas woman were processed and later released with new court dates. ST26005931/5941/0495

Two St. Thomas teens have been arrested. On Tuesday evening officers on community patrol located a 17 year old known to be wanted by our service for Failure to Comply with Undertaking after being charged in March. A short time later, an 18 year old wanted for the same offence in relation to the same incident was also located. Both teens were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held to attend court. ST26005975/5980/5075

Theft Investigations

A catalytic converter has been reported stolen from a work vehicle at a business on Currah Road. On Tuesday, police were called to investigate the theft that is believed to have occurred sometime between April 2nd and April 7th. Available video is being reviewed as this remains under investigation. ST26005915

A diamond ring has been reported stolen. On Tuesday, the owner of the ring contacted police after noticing it had been removed from their bedroom. This remains under investigation. ST26005939

An Amazon package valued at over $500 has been reported stolen from an address on the southside of the city. It was reported that on Tuesday, the resident received notification that the package had been delivered however returned home to find it had been stolen. This remains under investigation. ST26005944

Prescription medication has been reported stolen from a vehicle. On Tuesday, police were contacted in regards to the theft that occurred at an address on the west side of the city. No damage to the vehicle was found. ST26005966

Cash has been reported stolen from a retail store on Edward Street. On Tuesday evening while completing end of shift duties, an employee became aware of a discrepancy in their cash drawer. A review of in store surveillance showed an unknown male access the drawer and remove the cash. The video has been provided to police. ST26005982

Bail Violations 

A warrant for arrest has been requested for a 44 year old St. Thomas woman after police were notified that she had failed to attend her court ordered probation program. She has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order. ST26005905

Trespass

A 21 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with trespassing after refusing to leave an address downtown. Police attended the address in an effort to move the individual along to which he refused and was subsequently served a Provincial Offence Notice for Failure to Leave Premise. ST26005962
