Intimate Partner Violence:
On Saturday the 4th of April we were called to a south end residence for a report of an assault. The male victim reported being assaulted by his female partner twice overnight, allegedly striking him in the back of the head with her hand and later striking him again with a frying pan. The 25-year-old female was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon before being released on conditions. Incident ST26005719
Counterfeit Money:
On Saturday afternoon we were called to an east end business regarding a $50.00 bill that had been accepted by the store. Investigation revealed a female had attended the store and paid cash for her purchases, using a counterfeit bill in amongst legal tender provided as payment. Video has been obtained and the matter is under investigation. Incident ST26005720.
Bail Violations:
On Saturday afternoon we were contacted by a local resident who reported receiving unwanted text messages from his ex-partner, who is currently on conditions not to communicate with the caller. A warrant is being sought for the arrest of the year-old-female, charged fail to comply with release order. Incident ST26005721.
Warrant Arrests:
On Saturday we notified London Police Service that a male currently in custody in our cell block on unrelated matters had a warrant held by their service. The 34-year-old male was arrested in cells on behalf of London Police, and provided release documents for their charges before remaining in cells for weekend court for local matters. On Saturday afternoon officers on general patrol interacted with a male party that was wanted on warrants held by Woodstock, Sarnia and Anishinabek Police services. The 46-year-old male was arrested on the strength of the existing warrants and turned over to Sarnia Police Service. Incident ST26005735.
On Saturday night officers observed a male that was currently wanted on reasonable and probable grounds for breach of conditions related a release order for previous intimate partner violence (ST26005216). The 22-year-old male was arrested and held for weekend video court. Incident ST26005760.
R.I.D.E:
On Saturday night officers conducted a R.I.D.E program in the south end of the city. A number of vehicles were checked and no infractions were located. Incident ST26005774
