Food Fraud
A group of four attended a local restaurant on April 2 and left without paying an $85 bill. Police are reviewing available information and video evidence to identify the individuals involved. Incident # ST26005662
Intimate Partner Violence
Police were called to a residence in the south end of the city on Friday for reports of a 36-year-old male assaulting his partner. The accused fled on foot prior to police arrival. Investigation revealed the victim had been subjected to multiple assaults over several days. The accused is charged with Forcible Confinement, Utter Threats, Assault x 2, Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choking x 2, Assault with a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Probation x 5. Bail Violations / Driving Offences
A traffic stop on a vehicle with improper plates led to the arrest of the driver, age 45, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the York Regional Police Service. The investigation revealed the licence plate was stolen and the accused was prohibited from driving and bound by multiple release conditions. The drive is charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order, Possession of Stolen Property, Drive Suspend x 3, Fail to Comply with Provincial Probation x 3, and several other driving related offences. Warrant Arrest x 3
While responding to an unrelated call for service, police located a 34-year-old male wanted by police on two first instance warrants for Break and Enter and Fail to Comply with Probation. At the time of arrest, the accused was also found in possession of suspected fentanyl. The accused is charged with drug possession and was held for court. Incident # ST26005688
Toronto Police Service (TPS) contacted STPS advising they had arrested a 25-year-old male on the strength of a warrant held by our service. The male is charged with Fraud Under $5,000. The warrant was executed and TPS released the accused on behalf of the STPS. Incident # ST26005710
During the early hours of Saturday, Police located a male, age 39, wanted for mischief and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was taken into custody without incident and held for a court appearance. Incident # ST26005715
Mischief
On Friday evening police were called to a disturbance at a local gas station. Police arrested a male, age 44, after investigation revealed purposefully damaged the protective casing around lottery tickets. He was charged with mischief under $5,000 and held for court. Incident # ST26005700
Fail to Comply Probation
A male youth was arrested Friday night after police were called to a disturbance at a business in the south end of the city. Investigation revealed the youth was on conditions not to attend the address. During a search incident to arrest, the youth was also found in possession of a knife, despite a condition not to possess any weapons. He was charged with two counts of failing to comply with probation and released on a youth undertaking. Incident # ST26005712
