Impaired Operation
A 33 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested after police were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle.
On Monday afternoon, officers were called to an area on William Street for a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway. The caller reported that the driver appeared to be sleeping and that a child was observed in the vehicle. Officers attended and located the vehicle.
The driver, identified as a 33 year old St. Thomas woman, was exhibiting signs of impairment, including slurred speech and was unable to follow directions from the officer. The individual was arrested for impaired operation and transported to police headquarters, where breath samples registered 310 mg and 300 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, nearly four times the legal limit.
A child present in the vehicle was safely released into the care of a family member who attended the scene.
The accused was charged with Operation while Impaired and Operation while Impaired – 80 plus.

Bail Violations / Warrant Arrest
A 48 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested.
On Monday morning, police were called to an address on the south side of the city for a report of an unwanted person refusing to leave.
The individual was known to the caller and to police and was bound by court imposed conditions not to attend the address or have contact with the resident.
The individual had left the area on foot prior to police arrival and was located nearby. Following a brief foot pursuit, she was arrested and transported to police headquarters. A search incident to arrest revealed items believed to be in breach of her release conditions.
As a result, the accused has been charged with:
- Failure to comply with probation order (six counts)
- Failure to comply with release order (five counts)
- Failure to comply with undertaking (five counts)
- Possession contrary to order
- Resist peace officer
- Unlawfully in a dwelling house
Police also confirmed two outstanding warrants:
- Charges of assault, break and enter, and two counts of failure to comply with probation (January 6 incident)
- Charges of failure to comply with undertaking (three counts), failure to comply with probation order, and failure to comply with release order (January 11 incident)

Assault with a Weapon
St. Thomas Police Service is investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
It was reported that an individual was approached by two youths, which led to a verbal altercation. During the interaction, one of the youths deployed an aerosol irritant toward the individual before fleeing the area.
Officers have obtained video footage and are working to identify those involved. The investigation is ongoing. ST26004932
Theft
St. Thomas Police Service is investigating a theft that occurred at a retail store on Talbot Street on March 21st.
It was reported that two individuals attended the store, concealed a quantity of small electronic accessories, and left without making payment.
