Mischief 

A 44 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with one count of Mischief following an investigation on Monday.  The accused was identified on CCTV as the person responsible for throwing a brick through a window ond Queen Street. A warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST26004478

Fraud 

A local resident is out over $600 after falling victim to a scam. On Monday, police were contacted in regards to the incident that had occurred after the victim received an alert from who they believed to be the bitcoin company they use regularly. The victim then contacted the company at the number provided, which was found to be redirected to the scammers. This remains under investigation. ST26004490

Intimate Partner Violence 

A 48 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following the report of an assault. On Monday evening, a victim attended police headquarters to report an altercation with their spouse had escalated resulting in a physical assault. Officers attended the address of the accused who was transported to police headquarters. Charged with one count of Assault and one count of Assault Cause Bodily Harm, the 48 year old was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26004498

Theft

St. Thomas police are investigating a retail theft. On Monday afternoon, police were contacted in regards to the theft that occurred earlier in day. CCTV has been provided to police. ST26004503

Bail Violation

A 42 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, STPS was contacted by a remote monitoring company who reported the individual was at an address they are on conditions to not attend. Police located the individual at the address provided. Charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order, he was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for court. ST26004509

Unwanted Person – Warrant Arrest

A 31 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after police were called to move along an unwanted person. On Monday, officers attended a west end address and located the individual who was known to be wanted by our service after their surety was revoked. The 31 year old was released from custody after being charged with several drug related offences in December on the condition that he reside with a named individual at the address provided to the courts. The accused was processed and transferred to the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre. ST26004511/23023019
