Warrant Arrest:
On Thursday the 12th of March officers on general patrol observed a male party that they were aware of grounds existing to arrest for a shoplifting incident (ST26004218). The thirty-three-year-old St Thomas man was arrested, charged with theft under $5000.00 and released with a future court date. Incident ST26004243.
On Thursday we were contacted by Middlesex OPP who advised they currently had a female party in custody on grounds held by our service for failing to comply with a release order, related to contacting a previous victim ST26003657). We attended and continued the arrest of the 44-year-old female who was brought to court. Incident ST26004247.
Cause disturbance/Utter Threats to Police:
On Thursday morning we were contacted by an establishment downtown regarding a male party that was becoming aggressive with other clients. Officers attended and located a 30-year-old St Thomas male who was yelling, swearing, and using racial slurs. The male party refused to calm himself and was disrupting a number of citizens in the area. The male was arrested for cause disturbance at which time he threatened to kill several of the officers and their family members. The male was further arrested for utter threats. The male was taken to the hospital and was placed on a mental health form due to his extreme behaviour. A warrant is currently being sought for the male on his release from care for cause disturbance and utter threats. Incident ST26004251.
Recovered Stolen Bicycle/Encampment:
On Thursday evening we were contacted to attend an encampment that had been set up by an unknown male behind a local business. The male had left behind a large amount of property, including a bicycle that had been reported stolen earlier in the week (ST26004061). The owner of the bicycle was notified of the recovery. Officers are checking with neighbouring businesses to obtain video in order to identify the male from the encampment. The matter is currently under investigation. Incident ST26004275.
Shoplift:
On Thursday evening we were called to west end business regarding a male who had left this store after concealing $120 worth of merchandise before leaving without paying. The male was identified on video by attending officers and a warrant is currently being sought for the 19-year-old man, to be charged with theft under $5000.00. Incident ST26004280.
Mischief/Intimate Partner Violence:
On Thursday night we received a 911 call about a female screaming outside of a residence. Officers attended and learned that a 29-year-old female had attended the residence of a former boyfriend and had broken a window while arguing with him. The female was arrested, charged with mischief, and later released with a court date and conditions. Incident ST26004289.
Theft:
On Thursday evening we were notified by a resident from the south end that a delivery had been stolen from their front porch. Officers canvased for video in the area and located video of an unknown female suspect taking the package. The matter is currently under investigation. Incident ST26004276.
