Fail to comply with Undertaking:

On Saturday the 14th of February 2026 officers on general patrol spotted a 32-year-old female party who had previously been released on conditions, which included no contact with a second female she was observed with. The St Thomas resident was arrested, charged failure to comply with an undertaking, and held for weekend video court. Incident ST26002596.

Sexual assault:

On Saturday a female victim attended the station to report being followed by a former boyfriend. The two had broken up and the male was allegedly harassing the female to get back together. While speaking with officers the female disclosed a historic sexual assault perpetrated by the same male. The matter has been sent to Criminal Investigations. Incidents ST26002597/ST26002603.

Warrant Arrest:

Officers were dealing with a 42-year-old female on an unrelated matter when they learned that she currently was wanted on a bench warrant held by our service. The female was arrested and later released with a future court date. Incident ST26002609.

Shoplift:

On Sunday the 15th of February we were called to an east end business for the report of a female shoplifter who had left the store without paying for merchandise. Through investigation the attending officer was able to identify the female using the store surveillance video and she later attended the station to turn herself in. The 59-year-old female was charged with theft under $5000.00 and released with a future court date and conditions. Incident ST26002580.

Theft:

On Sunday afternoon a homeowner called to report her wallet was missing from inside her residence. The female reported that she had had some hired home care attendants in the home and suspected that one of the parties had take the wallet. The matter is currently under investigation. Impaired operation:

On Sunday evening emergency services were called to the west end of Talbot Street for a motor vehicle collision – a male party had struck a light pole and the vehicle was currently on its roof. Police, EMS and Fire attended the collision and during the interactions with the male driver Police formed the grounds to arrest him for impaired operation. The 26-year-old London man was taken to hospital for precautionary measures but later provided two breath samples that were more than double the legal limit. The male was charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80 mgs and released with a future court date. Incident ST26002672.

Warrant Arrest:

On Sunday night we were dispatched to a call for service regarding a male trespassing at a local business. Officers attended and located a 44-year-old St Thomas man who had previously been served a trespass notice for the location. The male was also wanted on grounds for a recent shoplifting incident (ST26002521). The male was arrested and later released on conditions, charged under the trespass to property act and with theft under $5000.00. Incident ST26002677

 Break and Enter:

We were contacted overnight on Sunday night for the report of a break and enter to an empty store front in the downtown core. Police attended with a keyholder and learned that entry had been gained through a boarded-up window by unknown suspects. Nothing appeared to have been taken from the empty unit at the time but we will be following up with the building owner.
