Intimate Partner Violence

A 32 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Wednesday evening, police were called to an address on Queen Street to investigate the report of the accused assaulting their partner and refusing to let them leave while engaged in an argument. Charged with one count of Assault and one count of Forcible Confinement, the 32 year old was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. Warrant Arrests

A 42 year old St. Thomas mas has been arrested. On Wednesday afternoon, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Probation. The 42 year old was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and held to attend court. ST26001528/1524/ST25017091

A 44 year old St. Thomas woman charged Theft under $5,000 has been arrested. On Wednesday, the accused attended police headquarters to turn herself in. She had been charged in June after she was identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident the occurred at a grocery store on Talbot Street. The individual was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST26001531/ST25014286

FraudĀ 

A local resident is out $3,000 after falling victim to a scam. On Wednesday, the individual contacted police to report that someone posing an an employee from their bank had contacted them in regards to suspicious activity on their accounts. It was reported that the suspect shared the victims personal information with them and requested $3,000 be sent to their own account to confirm they were indeed the account holder. Police were contacted after the transfer was complete and the funds missing. This remains under investigation. ST26001540
