Intimate Partner Violence 

A 28 year old St. Thomas man charged with several offences in relation to an incident yesterday, has been arrested. Just before noon on Tuesday, officers responded to a 911 call at an address on Inkerman Street. It was reported that the individual calling had been assaulted by their partner after he was asked to leave. Through investigation, officers learned the accused had gained access to the residence through a window. Once inside, an argument between the two had escalated resulting in the accused physically assaulting the victim and causing damage to the interior of the address. The man had left the area on foot, prior to police arrival. Charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Assault and Mischief, the 28 year old attended police headquarters to turn himself in on Wednesday. Assault with a Weapon

A 60 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested as the result of an investigation from an incident in December. The accused had been charged with one count of Assault and one count of Assault with a Weapon. He was arrested on Tuesday and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26000670

Sexual Assault Investigations

St. Thomas police are currently investigating two incidents of sexual assault involving youth. Both incidents were reported to police yesterday and are not related to each other. The incidents have been forwarded to our Criminal Investigation Branch who continuing to investigation. ST26000690/0694

Mischief 

A vehicle parked at an address on Fairview Avenue has been reported damaged. On Tuesday morning, the owner of the vehicle contacted police to report a window of their car had been smashed at some point in the overnight hours. ST26000663

Theft

St. Thomas police are investigating the report of a theft that occurred from a convenience store on Talbot Street, Tuesday afternoon. It was reported the two unknown individual had left the store, failing to pay for approximately $25.00 of merchandise. Video of the incident has been provided to police. ST26000676

 Fail to Comply

A 45 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order after officers learned he was not residing at hid designated address or adhering to a court ordered curfew. A warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST26000697
