We attended a south end residence when a concerned citizen called about the health and safety of a neighbor. Through further investigation we arrested and charged a 40 and 41 year-old St. Thomas resident with possession of a controlled substance. These individuals were later released by police with a future court date. Ref# ST25023207
We attended a retail store located at the 1063 Talbot St. business park after receiving information from a loss prevention officer of a theft. An individual entered the store and stole $260 worth of product and left without paying for the product. We are utilizing store video surveillance to further the investigation. Ref# ST25023223
We arrested and charged a 39-year-old St. Thomas resident with shoplifting from a retail store located at the 1063 Talbot St. business park. This individual was charged with shoplifting and two counts of breaching conditions of their release. The suspect was later released by police with conditions and a future court date. Ref# ST25023226

In an ongoing effort to help protect the residents of St. Thomas from falling victim to online scams and fraud, the St. Thomas Police Service would like to remind the community on ways to protect yourself and things to consider while online:
- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
