St. Thomas, ON – Wednesday November 5th, 2025
The St. Thomas Police Service (STPS) continues its participation in Crime Prevention Week 2025 with a focus on road and traffic safety.
Officers from the Traffic Management Unit are actively conducting enforcement and education initiatives designed to reduce collisions, encourage pedestrian awareness, and promote responsible driving behaviour.
“Traffic safety remains a top priority for the St. Thomas Police Service,” said Constable Glenn Chambers of the Traffic Management Unit. “All road users — drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians play an important role in preventing collisions and keeping our community safe”.
STPS reminds all road users to:
- Follow posted speed limits and traffic signs.
- Remain alert and avoid distractions.
- Yield to pedestrians at crosswalks and crossovers.
- Ensure vehicles are in good working condition before driving.
- Never drive impaired by drugs or alcohol.
Through proactive enforcement, education and community partnerships, STPS continues to work toward safer streets for all residents and visitors.
