CRIME PREVENTION WEEK 2025 – Working Together to Protect Ontario

St. Thomas, ON Sunday November 2nd, 2025

The St. Thomas Police Service is participating in Crime Prevention Week 2025, a province-wide initiative taking place from Sunday November 2nd through Saturday November 8th. This year’s theme, “Working Together to Protect Ontario,” emphasizes the importance of community collaboration and awareness in preventing crime and promoting safety.

Crime Prevention Week provides an opportunity to highlight the partnership between police, local organizations, and residents in keeping communities safe. STPS encourages everyone to consider how they can take part in creating a safe and resilient community.

Throughout the week, STPS will share daily messages on topics including cybercrime prevention, property crime reduction, road and traffic safety, youth engagement, and neighbourhood safety. Residents are encouraged to follow along on the STPS social media channels to access tips, resources, and updates.

“The safety of our community is a shared responsibility,” said Deputy Chief, Steve Bogart. “Crime Prevention Week allows us to highlight the work we do alongside residents and community partners. We hope this week encourages everyone to take practical steps to protect themselves, their families, and their neighbourhoods.”
