Shoplift:

On Friday afternoon officers were notified that a female had attended an east end business and left without paying for merchandise. At the time of the call the female was loading the stolen items into a vehicle parked in the lot. Officers attended and conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle was leaving the parking lot. A 27-year-old female was arrested, charged theft under $5000.00, and later released with a future court date and conditions. Incident ST25019096.

Bail Violations:

On Saturday the 18th of October officers were notified that an individual currently on 24 hour “house arrest” had left his residence without a surety. The 37-year-old male was located in the downtown core and arrested for fail to comply with conditions of a release order. The male was held for court and remanded into custody by the courts. Warrant arrest:

On Saturday morning a male youth attended the front counter of the St Thomas Police Service to turn himself into custody – in relation to an assault that took place at a local high school (ST25018915). The male youth was arrested and later released with a future date and conditions. Incident ST25019145.

Break and Enter:

On Saturday morning an owner of a building at the east end of the city reported a break and enter that occurred overnight. The owner had located the window inset into a door broken. Officers attended and cleared the building with a canine unit. At this time, it is believed that nothing was stolen. The matter is currently under investigation. Mischief/Graffiti:

On Saturday morning a concerned citizen alerted us to mischief to equipment at a local park on Benjamin Parkway. Officers attended and located damage to some of the equipment as well as graffiti and markings on equipment and picnic tables. Stolen Vehicle Recovered/Arrest:

On Saturday afternoon we were notified by the London Police Service that they had attempted to stop a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen to our service on the 17th of October (ST25019108). The vehicle failed to stop for officers and successfully avoided a spike belt. The vehicle then failed to stop for OPP officers while southbound into the city – eventually being boxed in by our officers in the area of old Lyndhurst. A 28-year-old male from St Thomas was arrested and turned over to the OPP as the stop occurred in their jurisdiction. The owner of the vehicle was notified of the recovery. Incident ST25019171.

Shoplifting:

On Saturday afternoon we were called to a downtown business for report of a shoplifting incident that had occurred earlier in the evening.  A male with a half shaven head, with a pony tail and wearing a grey sweatshirt fled the business on foot after failing to pay for merchandise. Video if the incident is to be provided and the matter is under investigation. Incident ST25019176.

On Saturday afternoon two young males and one female entered an east end business and left without paying for alcohol. Two of the youths were located nearby with the alcohol and were arrested for theft under $5000.00. The youths were later released to their parents care and officers provided paperwork to them compelling them into a youth diversion program. Incident ST25019178.

The same afternoon two other female youths attended a separate business and left without paying for alcohol. Officers attended and viewing video were able to identify a 14-year-old female youth known to them from previous incidents. The other female youth has yet to be identified and the matter is still under investigation. A warrant is being sought for the identified party – charged theft under $5000.00 Incident ST25019184.

Bail Violations:

On Saturday evening we were alerted by staff at a downtown business that a male party, currently on conditions to not attend the store due to previous incidents, had been inside the store. Officers attended and reviewed video confirming that the 36-year-old St Thomas resident had breached his release conditions. The male was located and arrested a short time later. Search incident to arrest officers located approximately twenty grams of suspected crystal meth on his person. The male was charged with fail to comply with a release order and possession of a controlled substance. Incident ST25019186.

Break and Enter:

On Friday evening another owner of an east end business reported that on returning from a vacation several outbuildings on the property had been broken into. Officers attended and learned that two storage buildings had been entered windows broken and the interior damaged with graffiti. Warrant Arrest:

On Saturday evening officers on general patrol located a female that was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant. The 47-year-old St Thomas resident was arrested on the strength of the warrant and released with a future court date. Incident ST25019192.

Shoplift:

On Saturday evening we were notified that a male shoplifter had left an east end business without paying for product. Officers attended and on reviewing video of the incident a 40-year-old male known to officers was identified on video. A warrant is being sought for the arrest of the male, charged theft under $5000.00. Incident ST25019194.

On Saturday evening we were notified that a male shoplifter had left an east end business without paying for product. Officers attended and on reviewing video noted a male, slim build, and wearing glasses took alcohol and other products. A photo is attached. Bail Violations:

On Saturday night officers were notified by a local business of a female party, known to be on conditions to not attend the store, had been in the business earlier in the day. The 46-year-old female was observed on video in the store by officers. This female is currently on several release orders from the courts, some of which are related trafficking fentanyl, that include conditions related to the store, not to be in possession of a cell phone, and to be in the presence of her surety. The female was observed on video without her surety and utilizing a cell phone. A warrant is being sought for her arrest charged three counts of failure to comply with a release order. On Saturday night officers attended a north end residence after receiving a 911 call from a female claiming issues with her boyfriend. Officers attended and located a 33-year-old male inside the residence who is currently on a probation order that includes conditions not to associate with the female homeowner/caller. The male was arrested and charged fail to comply with probation. The male was later released on an Undertaking with conditions. Incident ST25019217.

On Saturday night officers attended a different north end residence after receiving a 911 call from a female claiming issues with her boyfriend. Through investigation officers learned that the 46-year-old male currently had a warrant for his arrest held by our service for previous charges related to the female caller. The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released on an undertaking with conditions. Incident ST25019222
