St. Thomas, ON – Thursday October 9th 2025
On October 6th, 2025 the St. Thomas Police Service responded to an incident at local Secondary School after receiving reports that a student had a suspected firearm on school property.
Initial reports indicated that a student had shown a classmate a suspected firearm that was in a backpack and uttered a threat directed towards another student who wasn’t present. This was later confirmed to be a replica pistol, BB gun.
The student in question was located by police, detained and the BB gun was recovered.
Following a thorough investigation, the student has been charged with one count of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.
The accused has since been arrested on the outstanding charge and faces a future court date.
