Additional Charges in Property Crime Investigation
A 31 year old St. Thomas resident currently in custody, is facing additional charges. In an ongoing property crime investigation, the 31 year old has been identified as the person responsible in a vehicle entry that was reported to police. On Thursday, the owner of a vehicle that was parked Alma Street reported it had been entered on September 30th, with several items of personal property stolen. Through investigation, officers located the victims property at police headquarters after it had been recovered as a part of an arrest, earlier this week. As a result, the 31 year old has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breach of Recognizance. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25018031/17858
Utter Threats
A 59 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance downtown. On Thursday evening, officers attended an address in the 600 block of Talbot Street to investigate the report of the 59 year old yelling at and threatening an individual they are currently on conditions to not communicate with. The individual was transported to police headquarters and charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking and one count of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, processed and released with a future court date. Fraud
A 26 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged following a fraud investigation. On Thursday, the 26 year old was arrested after being charged with Fraud over $5,000 in relation to several fraudulent transactions made through their employer. A total of $74,000 in unauthorized transfers had been recorded. The 26 year old was processed at police headquarters and released with a future court date. ST25017764/18023
Recovered Property
Several Milwaukee tools have been returned to their rightful owner. On Thursday morning, we were called to a business on Ontario Street by an individual who found the tools in the parking lot upon arriving to work. Through investigation, officers were able to locate the owner of the tools who shared that they had been stolen. ST25018001
Failure to Comply
A 35 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were made aware that they were no longer living at the address ordered by the courts. On Thursday, officers on community patrol located the individual who had been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order. Unlawfully in a Dwelling
A 62 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a southside residence around 12:30 a.m. this morning. It was reported that a homeowner had woken up to find an unknown person in their house. The individual had left the area prior to police arrival but was located by our K9 Unit a short distance away. The 62 year old was taken into custody, charged with one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling and released on an undertaking with a future court date once processed at police headquarters. ST25018062
Warrant Arrests
A 50 year old London resident has been arrested. On Thursday, we were contacted by the London Police Service who had the individual in their custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000, stemming from a shoplifting incident in September. A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday, while attending an unrelated call for service with the individual, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for Assault in relation to an incident in August. A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service for five counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order and three counts of Theft under $5,000 in relation to separate incidents that occurred in July and August.
