Media release for Tuesday September 30th, 2025

Domestic Assault Arrest:

A 63 year old St. Thomas resident attended the police station to turn himself in on reasonable and probable grounds for an assault that had occurred the previous evening. The accused was arrested, processed and released on a Undertaking with conditions and a court date. ST25017741

Theft from vehicle:

Police spoke with the victim who attended St. Thomas Police Station to report her work truck was entered overnight.  The victim parked her work truck on Southwick Street. Various tools and 2 laptops were stolen, totaling at approximately $4000.  If anyone has CCTV footage of evening hours of 9pm on Sunday to 8 Am Monday morning in the area of Southwick please contact police at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers. Theft:

On Saturday September 27th at 1:52pm a male party entered the LCBO at 1010 Talbot, taking 3 bottles of alcohol, valued at $277 total, and exited the store with no attempt to pay for items. ST25017771

Break and Enter x3:

Police attended Edward street, and spoke to a business operator who were wishing to report a break and enter. They stated that sometime between the morning of Friday September 26th 2025 and Monday September 29th 2025 there was a hole cut in the fence. Unknown at this time what was taken, possibly a potential transformer taken. Drag marks, approximately 30-40ft Long located outside the fence.   Police were also advised of two other substations that were checked which also had been broken into over the last month with an undetermined amount of copper wire that had been taken.  ST25017772, ST25017789 and ST25017795.

Theft from vehicle:

The victim attended the station to report his vehicle was entered overnight in the Princess Avenue area of St. Thomas. Taken from his vehicle were tools, phone charger and bank cards. ST25017774

Stolen Vehicle Recovered:

Hamilton Police recovered our stolen vehicle (ST25016626). The vehicle appeared to be undamaged. ST25017776

R.I.D.E.

Police conducted a R.I.D.E. program stop and check yesterday evening on First Avenue in St. Thomas.  Over 100 vehicles were checked with 0 infractions noted. ST25017819
