Assault
A 60 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday evening, police were called to a local park to investigate the report of an individual being assaulted after speaking with a suspicious person in the area. Through investigation officers learned of unwanted communication between the accused and several parties at the park. The victim reported that while asking the individual to move along, they were assault. A description of the individual was provide to police. The 60 year old was located and charged with one count of Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25017728
Intimate Partner Violence
A 63 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Assault after police were called to disturbance at a southside address, Sunday evening. Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal altercation between former spouses had escalated resulting in the victim being physically assaulted by the accused, who had left the area prior to police arrival. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25017741
Theft
Two vehicles parked at an address on Hammond Street have been reported entered. On Sunday, we attended the address to investigate the report of several items of property taken from the vehicles around 6 a.m. Saturday morning. No damage was reported. ST25017680
An estimated $5,000 of fishing gear, tackle and equipment has been reported stolen from an address on Alma Street. On Sunday, we attended the address to investigate the report of the theft. Video of the incident was captured and showed that at 2 a.m. an unknown person attended the address, gained access to a boat in the laneway and left with the property. This remains under investigation. ST25017754
