Theft
A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday, we located the individual who had been identified as the person responsible for shoplifting from a grocery store on Talbot Street Saturday night. The 44 year old was charged with Theft under $5,000 and transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25014729
Warrant Arrests
A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday, we were contacted by the Elgin OPP who had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Undertaking, stemming from an incident on August 8th. OPP transported the individual to STPS Headquarters to be processed for weekend court, later released on an appearance notice. ST25014731
A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday afternoon, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on several outstanding charges. The 29 year old had been charged with Theft under $5,000 in relation to five shoplifting incidents between December of 2024 and July of 2025. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a Monday morning court appearance. ST25014781
Sexual Assault
A 62 year old London resident has been charged following an investigation into the report of a sexual assault. On Sunday, the victim attended police headquarters to report the historic assaults which occurred in 2023. Through investigation, police have formed grounds to charged the 62 year old with two counts of Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 Years and two counts Sexual Interference. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25014767
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
The silver 2016 Ram pickup truck reported stolen from a business lot on the east side of the city on August 7th, has been recovered. On Sunday, we were contacted by the Elgin OPP who had located the truck in a ditch just outside of our city limits. The truck was towed back to St. Thomas and the business notified. ST25014777
