STPS Summer Events Enter the Final Stretch

The St. Thomas Police Service has been proud to host a lineup of exciting, family-friendly events this summer. From BBQs to fishing derbies and sports days, these events have brought our community together, supported local youth and helped build strong, positive connections.

So far, we’ve welcomed newcomers at the Chief’s Community Inclusion Council BBQ, reeled in fun at the STPA Kids Fishing Derby, and got active at our first Boredom Busters Summer Sports Day.

We’re heading into the ‘dog days of summer’ with two more events planned for next week.

On Tuesday August 12th, we’re teaming up with Doug Tarry Homes and Geerlinks Home Hardware for our Back to School – School Supply Drive. We’ll be at Walmart from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., collecting school supplies for local students as they get ready to head back to class. This initiative continues to grow each year, thanks to the generous support of our community.

Then, on Wednesday August 13th, we wrap up our summer series with Boredom Busters 2. A final day of games, activities and time spent connecting with the youth in our community. Join us outside the Joe Thornton Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

No registration is needed, please just stop by and join the fun.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy last couple of weeks of summer.
