Assault Police
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a disturbance downtown, Tuesday morning. At 11:15, we attended an address off of Talbot Street for the report of an individual yelling and threatening people in the area. While speaking with accused in an attempt to deescalate the situation, the 34 year old attempted to strike police. As a result, they were taken into custody and charged with one count of Cause a Disturbance and one count of Assault Peace Officer. The 34 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and subsequently remanded into custody. ST25013929
Warrant Arrests
A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter at the Elgin County Courthouse, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for arrest. The 40 year old had been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order and two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order after an incident on July 21st. The 40 year old was processed, appeared before the courts and was remanded into custody. ST25013919
A 48 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service, officers were made aware of an outstanding probation warrant. The 48 year old had failed to attend their court ordered probation program. The individual was processed and released with a future court date. ST25013921
A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday afternoon, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Release Order, after being charged in a shoplifting incident on July 27th 2025. The 36 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25013931
A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Last night, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 after they were identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident from May. The 28 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25013967

On Tuesday evening, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 and Mischief stemming from an incident in July. The individual was processed and a released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25013974
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Early this morning, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Mischief and Failure to Comply with Release Order, stemming from an incident in May. The 37 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25013980
Theft
A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a retail store on Talbot Street. Just before noon on Tuesday, we attended the store for the report of an unwanted person. Officers learned that the accused, who was asked to leave the store took a bottle of alcohol as they were leaving. The individual was located a short distance away, charged with Theft under $5,000 and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25013935
RIDE
Of the vehicles stopped and their drivers spoken to, no infractions were found during a RIDE program in the city Tuesday night. The St. Thomas Police Service thanks the community for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST25013978
