Warrant Arrest

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday afternoon, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Theft, Uttering Threats and Failure to Comply with Release Order stemming from an incident in June. The 36 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25012008

Fraud 

A St. Thomas resident is out $25,000 after falling victim to an investment scam. On Wednesday, the victim contacted police to report that they began to suspect something wasn’t right with a company they were learning how to investment from. The victim shared that when they tried to withdraw their money, it wasn’t available or accessible. Through further investigation, it was learned the company is fraudulent. This remains under investigation. ST25012009

Theft 

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after a shoplifting incident at a retail store on Talbot Street, last night. A total of $65 in merchandise was returned after officers located the individual a short distance away. The 31 year old was charged with Theft under $5,000 and Enter Premises Where Prohibited as they had previously been trespassed from the retail store. The individual was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25012024
