Theft

A white, Rocky Mountain brand bicycle has been reported stolen. On Sunday June 1st 2025, the owner of the bike contacted police after attending a downtown restaurant and returning to their bike being gone. This remains under investigation. ST25009210

Did you know, you can register your bicycle with the St. Thomas Police Service? 529Garage is a free service that can alert other St. Thomas-area bicyclists any time a bike is stolen or goes missing. Once the user determines their bike is missing, an alert notification from 529 Garage sends out a broadcast to all users in the area to be on the look out for the missing bicycle.

Warrant Arrest 

A 38 year old Southwold resident has been arrested. On Sunday evening, STPS were contacted by Middlesex OPP who had the individual in their custody on the strength of an outstanding warrant with our service for Theft under $5,000, two counts of Drive while Under Suspension and two counts of Deface Plate stemming from an incident in September of 2024. Custody was transferred to St. Thomas Police where the individual was then transported to STPS Headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25009221

Transportation Fraud 

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after refusing to pay their cab fare, last night. Just after 11 p.m. police were contacted by a local cab company who were roadside with the individual who was refusing to pay. Through investigation, the individual was charged with Transportation Fraud, processed and released with a future court date. ST25009223
