Intimate partner violence
In the morning of the 16th, we were called to an address in the south end for reports of a dispute between ex partners that had become physical. The suspect allegedly hit the victim in the head with a household object. No injuries were sustained. As a results, a 44 yr old woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. She was later released on conditions with a future court date. ST25008178
Stolen bicycle
A St. Thomas resident contacted us to report that unknown suspect(s) stole his bicycle which he had left on his front porch. The matter remains under investigation as we review available video in an attempt to ID the individuals involved. ST25008195
Shoplifting
Loss prevention at a local grocery store contacted us to report a shoplift which had occurred. We reviewed video of a male suspect leave the store without making any attempt to pay for his food items. We reviewed store video and identified the male party in question. A 39 yr old male is currently wanted for theft under $5000, breach of release order and 2 counts of failing to comply with probation. ST25008210
Motor vehicle collision
We attended Dalewood Drive for a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Both the driver and passenger suffered varying level of injuries, not considered life threatening, and were subsequently transported to hospital by ambulance. The matter remains under investigation. ST25008215
Mischief
We arrested a 46 yr old male yesterday after he was observed throwing a rock at a vehicle in the west end, causing damage. The male was located a short distance away where he was arrested and charged with mischief. He was transported to our Police station where he was processed and later released with a future court date. ST25008218
Theft
We were called to a local business where it was reported that a large number of totes had been taken from the side of the building. We are reviewing video in an attempt to identify the individual(s) involved. ST25008220
Assault
We attended a downtown shelter after staff called to report a security guard had been assaulted. Following further investigation, we arrested a 19 yr old male for assault. We transported him back to the STPS station where he was processed and released on conditions with a court date. ST25008232
Warrant arrest
While on community patrol, we located a 38 yr old female wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft under. We arrested and released her with a future court date. ST25008240
Impaired
Early this morning, we attended a roundabout in the southeast end of the city for reports of a single motor vehicle collision. We quickly arrived on scene where we determined the driver was impaired therefore the 42 yr old male was subsequently arrested. Following further tests, we determined the male had over the legal limit of alcohol in his body therefore he was charged with impaired operation and 80+. The male had his licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was towed & impounded for 7 days. He was released with a future court date. ST25008252
Fail to stop
While on community patrol early this morning, we attempted to stop a motor vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence. Instead of stopping as is required by law, the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was discontinued however we did locate the vehicle a short time later, nearby and unoccupied. K9 attended for a track however was not able to locate the driver. The matter remains under investigation as we look to identify the individual involved. ST25008256
