Disturbance Leads to Charges 

Just after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon we received a 911 call in regards to altercation between two individuals in the courthouse area. Upon arrival, we located the individuals involved in a physical argument. As a result, a 40 year old St. Thomas resident was charged with Assault and Failure to Comply with Undertaking. A 43 year old St. Thomas resident was also charged with Assault and two counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order. Both individuals were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and later released with future court dates. ST25007051/7057

Warrant Arrests

A 52 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 in relation to a shoplifting incident on April 3rd, has been arrested. On Tuesday April 29th, the individual attended police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with future court date. ST250007076

A 72 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service on several outstanding warrants, has been arrested. On Tuesday, the individual was located at an address downtown and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25007078

Assault

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged after we were called to an address on the northside of the city, Tuesday morning. We attended the address after the homeowner reported an individual they knew had gained access to their residence. When asked to leave, the 41 year old accused assaulted the homeowner. As a result, the individual has been charged with one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling and Assault. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25007044

A 74 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a retail store on Talbot Street, Tuesday afternoon. At 1:30 p.m. we were called to the store for the report on an employee being assaulted. Upon arrival, the parties involved were located and through investigation it was learned the victim, an employee of the retail store had been assaulted by an irate customer. The 74 year old accused was arrested and charged with one count of Assault Cause Bodily Harm. They were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25007056

Theft 

We are currently investigating a theft that occurred at a Talbot Street retail store. On Tuesday we were called to the store in regards to a theft that took place the night before. At 7:40 p.m. Monday night, an unknown individual attended the store and failed to pay for a bottle of rum valued at $50. This remains under investigation. ST25007041
