Warrant Arrest 

A 49 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday, the individual attended the Elgin County Courthouse to turn themselves in an outstanding warrant for Breach of Conditional Sentence Order. The 49 year old was processed to make a court appearance and was remanded into custody. ST25006685

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Theft and Failure to Comply with Probation, has been arrested. Last night, the individual was located and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25006735

A 24 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While dealing with the individual at the Elgin County Courthouse, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Release Order. The individual was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25006687

Theft

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and charged with Theft under $5,000 after we were called to shoplifting incident in progress on Thursday morning. At 11:30 a.m. we were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report on an individual who had just left the store, failing to pay for their items. The individual was located in the parking lot and taken in custody. Officers transported the 38 year old to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25006695

Suspicious Incident

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a suspicious incident that occurred Thursday afternoon. Just after 3 p.m. we were called to an area on the southside of the city to investigate the report of two unknown individuals attending and entering an address, looking for an individual. The tenants of the address did not know the individuals who had entered their home or the person they were looking for. This remains under investigation. ST25006711
