Intimate Partner Violence
A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to check the well being of an individual, last night. Just before 10 p.m. we attended an address on the southside of the city and located the person of concern. Through investigation, it was learned the individual had been assaulted by their partner two days earlier and was in need of medical attention and was fearing for their safety. As a result, their 43 year old partner was charged with:
- Assault
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25006529
Fraud Investigation – Warrant Arrest
An investigation into fraudulent vehicle registration has concluded with an arrest. Over the course of the investigation that began in April of 2024, we identified and charged a 45 year old Toronto resident with six counts of Use, Deals, Acts on Forged Documents. On Monday April 21st 2025, we were notified by the Toronto Police Service that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant. We attended at transported the individual to St. Thomas Police Headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25006499/ST24005520
Theft
A theft investigation that began on April 20th has led to an arrest. On Monday April 21st, we located and arrested a 49 year old St. Thomas resident after we identified them as the person responsible for stealing property. The 49 year old was charged with one count of Theft under $5,000, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25006491/6438
A bicycle and trailer reported to stolen on April 21st has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner. On Monday, we were called to investigate the theft that occurred in the overnight hours. We located the bike and trailer and through investigation have charged a 24 year old St. Thomas resident with Theft under $5,000. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25006485
We are currently investigating the report of $9,000 worth of tools stolen from a commercial vehicle parked a job site on the northside of city. On Monday April 21st, it was reported that at some point over the long weekend, a vehicle had been entered and the tools removed. This remains under investigation by our Property Crime Unit. $100 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a Talbot Street retail store. On Monday, we attended the store to view video of the incident and the accused. The individual appears on video wearing a blue jays hat, having purple hair and was last seen leaving the area on a bicycle. This remains under investigation. ST25006501
A 53 year old St. Thomas resident charged with Theft under $5,000, has been arrested after they were identified as the individual responsible for a stealing lottery tickets, last week. The 53 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25006074/6530
