Threats/Weapons
Another incident at a local high school has been reported to St. Thomas Police. Staff were made aware of threats involving weapons, targeting a student, and reported it to Police. The Criminal Investigations Bureau is leading and still conducting the investigation. ST25005220
Fail to Comply/Sex Offender Registry
Members of the Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted a search warrant at a residence in the city’s north end. A 67-year-old St. Thomas resident had failed to comply with the sex offender registry. Additionally, the individual provided false information to detectives on scene. The individual was arrested, transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and released with a future court date. Thefts
St. Thomas Police attend a downtown retailer location for a theft. Staff reported a male selected merchandise, concealed, and walked out of the store, failing to pay for the items. Video evidence is being reviewed, and the incident is still under investigation. ST25005413
St. Thomas Police attend an east end retailer location for a theft. Loss Prevention Officer reported an individual selected items, placed them into reusable bags, and left the store making no attempts to pay. Items selected totaled approximately 200-250$. St. Thomas Police were called by a homeowner on the city’s south side, for a theft. The homeowner reports an individual known to them, entered the residence, and stole some medication and clothing. As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old St. Thomas resident is currently wanted for theft under 5000$. ST25005435
Warrant Arrest
A 49-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested while officers were on scene at an unrelated incident, at a residence on the city’s south side. Police were called to the area for a theft call, and upon arrival located the wanted party. The individual was arrested on the strength of the warrant for failing to comply with court ordered conditions x3, in relation to a domestic incident. Intimate Partner Violence
St. Thomas Police attended a residential unit in the downtown area, when they received a 911 call. The complainant reported an individual was attempting to break into the unit, and had a knife. Through investigation it was revealed that the victim was seeking shelter in the unit, after being assaulted by an ex-partner. Upon arrival a 32-year-old was located and subsequently arrested for Spousal Assault, and Failure to Comply with Release Order x2. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and released with a future court date. ST25005454
