Sexual Assault 

A 25 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested following a sexual assault investigation. The individual, charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference was arrested on Sunday March 23rd and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. A 60 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested following a 911 call, Sunday evening. At approximately 6:15 p.m. police were called to an address downtown to investigate the report of an unknown individual approaching a youth, making unwanted physical contact. The youth alerted their parent immediately and police were called. Officers located the individual who was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 and Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The 60 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25004770

Break and Enter

A gaming console and various electronics have been reported stolen from an address on the northside of the city. On Friday March 21st 2025, police were called to the address by the homeowner who had noticed damage to the rear entrance of their home and the items stolen. This remains under investigation. St. Thomas police are currently investigating a break and enter, reported to police on Sunday. STPS was contacted by the building manager of an apartment of Scott Street who wish to report an unknown person had gained entry to the secured lobby of the building and attempted to access several mailboxes. Video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST25004741

A red Mongoose ‘Disturbed’ bike has been reported stolen. On Sunday March 23rd, police were called to an address on Fourth Avenue to investigate the report of a shed being entered and the bike stolen. A photo of the bike can be seen below. This remains under investigation. ST25004780

Theft

Approximately $40 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street, Friday afternoon. ST25004668

A full bag of groceries has been reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street, Saturday afternoon. ST25004739

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible for stealing food from a grocery store on Talbot Street, Sunday afternoon. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25004758

A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested.  The individual had been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident reported to police on Friday. The 44 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25004766

Fraud 

St. Thomas police are investigating the report of unauthorized credit card transactions. On Sunday March 24th 2025, a local resident attended police headquarters to report that upon receiving their monthly credit card statement, they were made aware of several fraudulent charges. This remains under investigation. ST25004756

Warrant Arrest

Following a series of graffiti-related vandalism incidents targeting buildings in the downtown area, police have arrested a 46 year old St. Thomas resident. The individual had been charged with three counts of mischief under $5000 and was arrested on Saturday March 22nd. Once processed, the 46 year old was released under specific conditions, including a prohibition on possessing spray paint. ST25004652/4708

Mischief

Additional graffiti has been reported to police. On Sunday March 23rd, a business owner in the 400 block of Talbot Street reports that after removing damage from a previous incident, additional graffiti was located on their building. This remains under investigation. ST25004761

Vehicle Entries 

A vehicle parked on Thorman Terrace was entered Thursday evening. Personal items were reported stolen with no damage to the vehicle reported. ST25004624

A vehicle parked on Barnes Street was entered on Friday afternoon. A wallet containing personal identification, banking information and a blue tooth speaker were reported stolen. No damage to the vehicle was reported. ST25004656
