Recovered Stolen Vehicle
A vehicle, reported stolen out of Sarnia has been recovered in St. Thomas. On Monday March 10th 2025, officers were called to an address on Jackson Street to investigate the report of a suspicious vehicle and possible impaired driver. Upon arrival, police located the vehicle in question however the driver had left the area. STPS K9 unit assisted officers in a search of the property but the driver was not located. Through investigation, police learned the vehicle, a 2013 Dodge Ram had been reported stolen out of Sarnia. Sarnia police were notified and the vehicle was towed. Police are reviewing available CCTV in the area as they continue to investigate. ST25003975
Arson
St. Thomas police are currently investigating an arson. This morning, police were called to the area of Flora Street and Barwick Street to investigate a suspicious fire. Upon arrival, St. Thomas Fire had extinguished the fire they believed to have been set intentionally. No injuries were reported. Police are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST25003987
Intimate Partner Violence
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance downtown. On Monday March 10th 2025, police attended the area of Talbot Street and St. Catharine Street for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers located the individuals involved and through investigation learned a verbal argument between the couple had escalated, resulting in a physical assault. A 32 year old St. Thomas resident was charged with one count of a Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking. Through further investigation, a 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking. The individual was transported to STPS HQ where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25003965
Warrant Arrests
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday March 10th 2025, officers on community patrol located the individual who was wanted on six outstanding warrants with our service in relation to several ongoing investigations.
The 32 year old had been charged with a combined:
- Five counts of Theft under $5,000
- Three counts of Fraud under $5,000
- Two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking
The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25003932
A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday March 10th 2025, Aylmer police had the individual in their custody on the strength multiple warrants held by our service for incidents dating back to June 2024. The individual had been charged with:
- Eight counts of Failure to Comply with Probation
- Two counts of Theft under $5,000
- One count Unauthorized Use of Credit Card
- One count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking
The 31 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25003970
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 and Unlawfully in a Dwelling, has been arrested. On Monday March 10th 2025, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant that was issued after an incident on the weekend. The individual was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25003951
A 30 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Uttering Threats, has been arrested. On Monday March 10th 2025, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant that was issued after an incident in December 2024. Theft
A hockey bag with approximately $1,700 of equipment has been reported stolen. On Monday March 10th 2025, officers were called to investigate the report of the bag being stolen, from a vehicle sometime in the overnight hours of March 8th. This remains under investigation. ST25003963
