2024 Festive Ride Results

St. Thomas, ONFriday January 10th 2025

Throughout the months of November and December 2024, as a part of the Festive RIDE Campaign, members of the St. Thomas Police Service conducted 17 R.I.D.E checks throughout the city with approximately 1000 vehicles stopped and their drivers spoken to.

STPS shares that no major infractions were found.

The RIDE checks resulted in:

1 – Three day suspension

3 – Highway Traffic Act tickets

2 – Approved Screening Device requests, all registering a pass

Continued effort from our front line officers to stop impaired driving resulted in two St. Thomas residents being charged.

On November 10th 2024, as the result of information provided by a concerned citizen, a 34 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation, plus 80. ST240204786

On December 17th 2024, as the result of information provided by a neighbouring police service, a 49 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation, plus 80. ST24022711
