Media release Sunday the 5th of January 2025

Theft:

On Saturday the 5th of January a resident in the north end reported the theft of both the front and rear license plates off of their vehicle. Police attended and took the report and are checking the area for video cameras/home surveillance. Warrant arrests:

On Saturday members of the Elgin County OPP arrested a male party on an unrelated matter and discovered he had an arrest warrant held by the St Thomas Police Service. Officers attended the Elgin OPP detachment and arrested the 38-year-old Tillsonburg resident. The male was released with a future court date. Incident ST25000227.

On Saturday evening members of the St Thomas Police were on a general call for service when they learned that a male, they were speaking to had warrants held by the London Police Service. Officers arrested the 38-year-old London resident on the strength of the warrant and he was later released with a future court date and conditions by London Police. Incident ST25000231.

Bail Violations:

On Saturday night the St Thomas Police Service was contacted by a family member in the north end of the city who reported that his father, who is on bail conditions for no contact with the complainant and his mother, messaged him through social media. Police attended and formed grounds to charge the 72-year-old St Thomas resident with fail to comply a condition of his release order. A warrant is being sought for his arrest. Incident ST25000240.
