Robbery and arrest of Suspect:

On the 29th of December 2024 the St Thomas Police Service attended a south end residence for reports of a dispute between a homeowner and a male contractor – that allegedly left the homeowner pushed to the ground and a large quantity of cash stolen by the contractor. The homeowner then attempted to prevent the contractor from leaving in his vehicle and was left hanging from the vehicle for a short period as it left the scene. Incident ST2402336.

On Friday the 3rd of January 2025 the 45-year-old London resident was located and arrested on a traffic stop in London conducted by a joint effort between the St Thomas Police CIRT team members and the plain clothes Street Crime unit. The male party was transported back to the St Thomas Police Service charged with Robbery, Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and later released with a future court date and conditions. Warrant arrest:

On Friday the 3rd of January a 31-year-old female turned herself in at the St Thomas Police Service on an outstanding warrant for breaching conditions of her GPS monitored bail plan. The St Thomas resident was arrest, held for court, and later released by the courts. Incident ST25000140.

Vehicle Entry/Theft:

On Friday afternoon a resident living on the north side of the city reported an entry to their vehicle overnight while parked unlocked in the laneway. A pair of sunglasses valued at over $200.00 was taken. Bail Violations:

The St Thomas Police Service have submitted a warrant application to arrest a 53-year-old female for breach of her court mandated bail conditions. The female had not been reporting to the Police station as per conditions of her release. Incident ST25000161.

Intimate Partner Violence:

On Friday afternoon St Thomas Police were contacted by a female resident who reported being assaulted by her partner. Through investigation Police learned that the female’s partner had assaulted her and pelted her with household items. She was not injured. A warrant is currently being sought for the 50-year-old male party- charged assault and assault with a weapon. Incident ST25000164.

R.I.D.E:

Overnight officers on general patrol conducted a R.I.D.E. program. St Thomas Police Service is happy to announce that no concerns for impairment were observed. A great start to the new year! Incident ST25000189.
