Warrant arrest(s):

On Saturday afternoon Police located and arrested a female known to them to be wanted on a warrant held by the Niagara Police Service. The 39-year-old St Thomas resident was arrested and transported to the station and later released on documents forwarded by Niagara Police. Incident ST24020877.

On Saturday evening officers on general patrol observed a female known to them to be wanted on a warrant for theft from a local business earlier in the week. The 38-year-old St Thomas resident was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date. Incident ST24020892.

Robbery:

On Saturday evening Police were contacted by a local resident who reported that he had been approached by an unknown male in the downtown core selling clothing items out of his car. The victim entered the male’s car to discuss the purchase and a weapon was allegedly brandished during the incident. The local resident was unharmed but turned over cash to the suspect. The vehicle was described as a smaller dark colour SUV. The matter has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Branch for further investigation.
