Assault with a Weapon

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police after an investigation into the report of an assault. On Tuesday November 5th 2024, the victim contacted police to report an argument between them and an acquaintance, had escalated resulting them being hit with a bat several times. Through investigation, police have charged a 41 year old St. Thomas resident with one count of Assault with a Weapon and one count of Utter Threats. A warrant for arrest has been requested. Mischief

A tire of a vehicle has been reported slashed. On Tuesday November 5th 2024, St. Thomas police were called to an address on Hammond Street to investigate the report of an unknown person attending the address in the overnight hours and slashing one of the tires on the vehicle. Police are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24020128

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a business in the 400 block of Talbot Street. Upon arrival, officers learned the individual who is known to police, attended the business and stole a floor mat after causing damage to the entryway. Officers located the individual a short distance away. As a result, the 45 year old was charged with one count of Theft under $5,000 and one count of Mischief. They were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24020139

RIDE

St. Thomas police are pleased to announce that of the 150 vehicles that were stopped and their drivers spoken to during a RIDE program in the city last night, no infractions or concerns were reported. STPS wishes to thank the community for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST24020176
