Break and Enter
St. Thomas police are currently investigating a commercial break and enter. On Tuesday October 15th 2024, the owner of a local business reported returning to work from the weekend to find a trailer on the property had been damaged in an attempt to gain access. Video surveillance from the business is being reviewed as this remains under investigation. ST24018616
Fraud
A local resident is out approximately $22,000. On Tuesday October 15th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to report that over the course of four transactions to a company selling what was believed to be overstock retail pallets, they were now out the money. Theft
St. Thomas police are investigating the report of a stolen package. On Tuesday October 15th 2024, officers were called to an address in the center of the city to investigate the incident that occurred on October 13th. It was reported that an unknown person attended the front porch of a home and removed a package that had been delivered. The incident was capture on video and is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24018667
Vehicle to Identify
St. Thomas police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle responsible for hitting a pedestrian and failing to remain. On October 12th at approximately 2:45 p.m. police were called to the intersection of Elgin and Centre Streets for the report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. Minor injuries were reported. Through investigation, police have identified the vehicle responsible and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the driver.
