Assault Police – Resist Arrest

St. Thomas, ONWednesday October 9th 2024 

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after a disturbance at a local restaurant, yesterday.

At approximately 3:00 p.m. St. Thomas police were called to a restaurant in the 800 block of Talbot Street to investigate the report of an unruly customer that had assaulted and threatened staff.

Upon arrival, police learned the accused had left the area on foot. The individual was quickly located however refused to stop for police. PSD Rocky was deployed and engaged the accused allowing officers to take custody.

The 40 year old was charged with one count of Assault, one count of Utter Threats and one count of Resist Peace Officer.

While in custody, the individual became increasingly aggressive and threatened police. As a result, they have been additionally charged with one count of Assault a Peace Officer.
