Prohibited Driver

As the result of a traffic stop on Monday September 9th 2024, a 45 year old London resident has been arrested. The stopped, initiated after the temporary plates on the vehicle were flagged as expired in 2022, revealed the driver to be on several prohibited driving orders stemming from incidents over the last three years. Through further investigation, officers learned the individual was wanted on an outstanding warrant with the London Police Service. The 45 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed, attended court and subsequently remanded into custody. ST24016127

Warrant Arrests 

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident, wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Release Order has been arrested. On Monday September 9th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in after they were made aware of their charges stemming from an incident over the weekend. The 38 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24016128

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident, wanted by our service for Breach of Probation has been arrested. On Monday September 9th 2024, officers on community patrol were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant dating back to April of 2024. The 38 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24016166

A 72 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday September 9th 2024, STPS located the individual who had been charged with Dangerous Operation, Flight from Police and Mischief stemming from an incident in August. The 72 year old was transported to police headquarters where there were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24016167

Failure to Comply

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police. On Monday September 9th 2024, STPS were made aware that the individual had failed to attend their bail supervision program and has subsequently been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24016122

Fraud

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a gift card scam that began in 2022. On Monday September 9th 2024, the victim attended police headquarters to report that over the last two years, they have been defrauded of over $24,000. Through investigation police learned the individual had fallen victim to an online scam, purchasing several gift cards and sending money transfers. This remains under investigation. ST24016143

Theft

A black Jetson e-bike, with noticeable ‘sonic’ stickers on it, has been reported stolen from an address on Balaclava Street. On Monday September 9th 2024, officers attended the address and spoke to the owner of the bike who reports it has been stolen sometime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday. This remains under investigation. ST24016145
