Mischief/ Sexual Assault arrests/ Vehicle Entry/ Assault/ Warrant/ Utter Threat and Assault Peace Officer

Mischief’

The St. Thomas Police are investigating mischief to the Elgin Court PS and the Health Centre Pharmacy that occurred sometime over the weekend.  Custodial staff from the school noticed three broken windows upon arriving yesterday morning.  Also, staff from the pharmacy report arriving to work and discovering a broken window.  Police are searching for surveillance footage that may lead to the person(s) responsible and the investigations continues.  If anyone has information about the person(s) responsible, they are asked to call the St. Thomas Police at (519)631-1224 and quote incident number ST24015656 / ST24015677  OR  call Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS (8477).

Also, damage was reported to the window of the Bank of Montreal on Talbot Street that occurred during the night of September 2nd.  Video surveillance is being sought for this mischief and the investigation will continue. (ST24015678)

Sexual Assault arrests

On Tuesday September 3rd a 48 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with a historical sexual assault.  They were later released with a future court date. (ST24015614). A second St. Thomas resident was also arrested on an unrelated historical sexual assault.  The 46 year old was later released with a future court date. (ST24015513)

Vehicle Entry

Sometime over night September 2nd, a vehicle was entered and wallet stolen.  The victim’s credit card was used at a few local establishments.  The St. Thomas Police are still continuing the investigation. (ST24015663).

Assault

The St. Thomas Police attended an address in the Northeast area of the City, in response to a disturbance.  Through investigation, a 39 year old St. Thomas women was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.  The allegations stem from an initial verbal altercation which resulted in the accused spitting on the victim’s.  She was later released from custody with a future court date. Warrant

On September 3rd, the St. Thomas Police responded to a call for an unwanted person.  A query of the 46 year old unwanted male indicated he was wanted by a neighbouring jurisdiction  for Breach of Probation and Obstruct Peace Officer.  He was subsequently arrested and transported to the police station where he was later released with a future court date. Utter Threats, Assault Peace Officer, Resist Arrest and Fail to Comply with Undertaking

During the early morning hours of September 4th, a 59 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested for Uttering Threats and subsequently Assaulting a Peace Officer and Resist Arrest.   Police initially responded to an address in the downtown area for an unwanted person, where it was learned the women uttered death threats to a security guard.  She was located a short distance away where she assaulted a police officer and resisted arrested.   She was transported to the police station and later released with a future court date.  Once released from custody, the women re-attended an address, breaching the conditions she promised to abide by upon release.  As a result, she was re-arrested and held for a morning court appearance.(ST24015731 / ST24015734).
