Missing Person – Located
This evening, at approximately 6:40 p.m. the St. Thomas Police Service with the assistance of OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit (USRU) and St. Thomas Fire, located the individual reported missing on Lake Margaret, earlier today.
A collaborative effort of emergency response have successfully located and recovered 26 year old, Ryan Davies of Port Stanley, the individual who had not resurfaced after three (3) adults entered the water and the canoe they were in, capsized.
The St. Thomas Police Services extends our thanks to the OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit (USRU), St .Thomas Fire and EMS for their assistance today.
STPS would like to thank our community for their support and assistance as we navigated today’s incident which has resulted in the recovery of the missing individual. Our thoughts remain with the families involved. Our resources will continue to be extended to support those that need our assistance.

Active Investigation – Missing Person – Lake Margaret
Members of the St. Thomas Police Service along with St. Thomas Fire and EMS are currently at Lake Margaret for a missing person investigation.
Just before 8:00 a.m. this morning, police were notified of an incident involving three (3) adult individuals that had entered the water after the canoe they were in, had tipped.
Two (2) individuals have been located and transported to hospital, where they remain in stable condition.
Efforts to locate the third individual are ongoing.
There will be a large emergency service presence in the Lake Margaret area as efforts to locate the missing individual, continue.
Please avoid the area.
