Mischief

A window at a business in the 500 block of Talbot Street has been damaged. On Thursday August 15th 2024, STPS were called by the business owner who wish to report that their surveillance system captured an unknown individual attend the store front and break the window. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. and remains under investigation.ST24014332

Warrant Arrest

The 32 year old St. Thomas resident, wanted by police in relation to a mischief investigation that caused damage to vehicle after a verbal altercation, has been arrested. On Thursday August 15th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on the outstanding warrant. The 32 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24014338/4278

Break and Enter 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a commercial break and enter. On Thursday August 15th 2024, police were contacted by an employee of a business on Edward Street who wished to report sometime in the overnight hours, holes had been cut in the fence surrounding the property and a quantity of wire had been stolen. STPS are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24014340

Intimate Partner Violence

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday August 15th 2024, STPS received a 911 call reporting an assault. Officers attended an address on the southside of the city to investigate the report and learned a verbal altercation between spouses had escalated, resulting in minor injuries. The 41 year old accused was charged with three counts of Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24014359

Assault

A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged and Assault and Uttering Threats. On Thursday August 15th 2024, St. Thomas police were called to a business in the 600 block of Talbot Street for an unruly customer who had refused to pay for their services. When the accused was asked to leave, they began to threaten employees of the business and physically assaulted an individual. The 22 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24014362

RIDE

St. Thomas police are pleased to announce that no infractions or concerns were reported after a RIDE program in the city, last night. STPS wished to thank the community for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST24014416
