Warrant Arrest 

A 36 year old resident of Adelaide-Metcalfe has been arrested on an outstanding warrant from 2022. On Monday August 5th 2024, OPP notified STPS that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant for Impaired Operation and several other offences dating back to May of 2022. The individual was transported to St. Thomas police headquarters where they were processed, made a court appearance and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24013607

Intimate Partner Violence

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count of Assault and one count of Assault Cause Bodily Harm after police were called to investigate a disturbance on the northside of the city. On Monday August 5th 2024, police attended the area and spoke with the victim who reported an argument with their partner had turned physical resulting in minor injuries. The accused had left the area prior to police arrival but was located a short time later and arrested. The 29 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24013622

Failure to Comply 

A warrant for arrest has been requested for a 22 year old St. Thomas resident after police were notified that the individual had failed to charge their remote monitoring device that had been issued as a part of their release order. ST24013629

Theft

A black/charcoal grey Super Cycle Nitrous dual suspension mountain bike has been reported stolen. The bike, place behind a shopping centre on Wellington Street was stolen sometime after 2 p.m. on Monday August 5th 2024. ST24013647

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday August 5th 2024, STPS were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of a theft that occurred. Upon arrival, police located the individual responsible. The 45 year was charged with one count of Theft under $5,000 and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24013654

Mischief

St. Thomas police are currently investigate damage to a commercial property on Wellington Street. On Monday August 5th 2024, officers were called to the area after staff returned to work from the weekend and became aware of a fence that had been cut and an air condition unit that had been tampered with. This remains under investigation. ST24013648
