Impaired Operation

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Friday June 21st, 2024 at approximately 3:30 a.m. STPS were called to check the well being of an individual in a vehicle on Elm Street. Police attended the area and located the vehicle and the individual of concern. Through investigation, it was deemed the individual was showing signs of impairment and a standard field sobriety test was requested. The 39 year old performed poorly and was subsequently arrested and transported to police headquarters. As a result, the individual has been charged with one count of Operation while Impaired. The 39 year old was processed and released on a undertaking with a future court date. ST24010453

Theft and Failure to Comply 

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident, earlier this week. On Thursday June 20th 2024, officers were called to a grocery store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of an unknown person attending the store and leaving with items they didn’t pay for. Through investigation and review of available video surveillance, officers identified the individual. As a result, the 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count of Theft under $5,000 and one count of Failure to Comply with Probation. A warrant for arrest has been requested. Warrant Arrest

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter, officers became aware of an outstanding warrant with our service for one count of Use of Credit Card stemming from an incident in March. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24010454

Recovered E-Bike 

The blue EMMO electric moped valued at approximately $2,000 that was reported stolen to police, has been recovered. On Thursday June 20th 2024, police were called to a downtown address after an alert citizen recognized the bike and recalled it being reported stolen. Officers retrieved the E Bike and the rightful owner was contacted. ST24010422/0351
