Theft
Two London residents have been arrested. On Thursday May 9th 2024, officers were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of a suspicious incident. Upon arrival, police learned two unknown individuals had entered the store with bags full of merchandise from another store in the area with the security tags still attached. A search of the area found the parties involved at a nearby location with over $500 of stolen merchandise. As a result, a 30 year old London resident has been charged with one count of Theft under $5000 and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000. A 31 year London resident has been charged with one count of Theft under $5000, one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 and one count of Possession of a Schedule Substance -methamphetamine.
The individuals were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and release on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24007483
Warrant arrest
A 55 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Friday May 10th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual operating their bicycle in an unsafe manner. A stop was conducted and through investigation, police learned the individual was wanted on an outstanding warrant with Norfolk OPP for Failure to Comply with Release Order and Failure to Attend Court. The 55 year old was arrested on the strength of that warrant and transported to police headquarters to be processed. During processing, the individual was additionally charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule Substance – Cocaine. Norfolk OPP attended and took custody of the individual. ST24007522/7523
